Love this place … and its legacy as the once (infamous?) George Washington Hotel. It’s glorious hybrid of old/school NY and casual contemporary with a vaguely scandi-vibe.

The room was small but it had everything we needed. Staff was friendly and they were able to keep our bags all day after we checked out until we caught our plane in the evening. The hotel looks good, it's not modern but quite charming.

The hotel is designed very tastefully. The rooms are simple but cozy, and have everything you could need or want in a hotel room. The bars are great places to hang out (and very convenient). Reception staff was very helpful at all times (water bottles, recommendations, luggage storage).

Amazing value for travelers who spend a lot of time exploring the city and less time sitting at the hotel. The location was perfect, we were able to access several metro stations or walk down a scenic avenue to reach our destination. The room was small but very clean and decorated nicely, for a short trip it was great. When we wanted to lounge at the hotel, the second floor common area was available and cute restaurants attached. The TV was nice for those few instances when we did want to relax in the room. The staff were really helpful and allowed us to store our bags with them before and after check out.

We booked a room for 3 (a queen bed and a bunk bed on top). I was traveling with husband and teen son. Room was small but comfortable. It was exactly as the pics on webpage of hotel show. Beds were comfortable. Room was serviced everyday. Room faced street (4th floor) but was quiet. No traffic noise to complain about. Temperature of shower was great. Temperature of room was great. Room has a small refrigerator. Check in and check out were easy and fast. Hotel is close to public transportation and if you like walking, relatively close to many landmarks in NY. Plenty of breakfast / dining options nearby. We did not use hotel's restaurant/bar. It was a great experience!
